Price Increase and New Features: Will Haushelden Grow?AI

The summer holidays in Bavaria are almost over, and significant changes are underway at Haushelden. We've increased the prices of our platform to better reflect the true value of the product. At the same time, we're working intensively on new features and finalizing the payment system. However, the real test is to pause now and observe how these adjustments affect our users. The focus is on finding the right balance between growth and monetization.

In recent months, Haushelden has grown to nearly 100 families actively using our platform. This number may not seem impressive at first glance, but it represents an important milestone. It shows that our product meets a real need and that families are willing to embrace our solution. However, with this growth come challenges, particularly regarding our pricing strategy.

The Bet: Price Adjustment as a Strategy

The decision to raise Haushelden's prices may seem risky at first glance. Why do it when the product is just starting to gain momentum? The answer lies in the perception of value. A higher price can increase the appreciation of the product and signal to users that they are receiving a high-quality and well-thought-out product.

This strategic decision was not based on a gut feeling but on data and intensive user analyses. Interviews and feedback from our marketing campaigns have provided us with valuable insights. We've found that users are willing to pay for real value—whether it's for easing family management or for the innovative gamification elements.

  • Changed pricing structure: Increase to reflect product value.
  • User analyses: In-depth conversations and campaign feedback.
  • Goal: Review of price perception and acceptance.
  • Value communication: Price as a signal for quality and innovation.

Another point in favor of the price adjustment is the long-term positioning of Haushelden. By increasing the price, we aim not only to meet the current needs of families but also to keep the potential for future developments and expansions of the product open. This strategic alignment is crucial to make the platform sustainable and strengthen our bond with users.

Where It Sticks: Challenges and Open Questions

With the end of the summer holidays, our users' daily lives change significantly. The return to school brings new routines, and this is where Haushelden's strength comes into play. However, the payment system is not yet fully implemented, which is one of the biggest challenges. How can I continue to develop Haushelden without losing focus?

The new social features are another key area being put to the test. Children can now interact with friends outside their family, which has the potential to increase usage and engagement. However, the question remains whether these features will have the desired impact on growth. Such features are not just technical gimmicks but can fundamentally change user behavior.

Another aspect that must be kept in mind is the technical challenges that come with introducing new features. How do we ensure the platform remains stable while integrating new features? And how do we respond to unexpected issues that may arise during implementation? These questions are central to ensuring the success of the new features and not compromising the user experience.

The Mechanism: What Lies Behind the Problems

The challenges we face are complex and require deeper analysis. Price perception is a central theme. A price is more than just a number—it communicates the value and quality of a product. If the pricing is not coherent, the credibility of the product suffers. It's crucial that we clearly convey to our users why Haushelden is worth the price.

Another point is the positioning in the market. What exactly do we offer our users? Is it the digital task planner, the gamification aspect, or the ability to efficiently distribute family tasks? These questions are not only relevant for pricing but also for the entire brand strategy. Clear and precise positioning helps us reach the right target audience and strengthen user engagement.

Price is not just a number—it influences how a product is perceived.

The introduction of social features has also shown that we must view the platform as a living system that constantly grows and adapts. How do we integrate new features without overwhelming or unsettling the existing user base? This balance between innovation and stability is crucial for the long-term success of Haushelden.

The Next Move: Focus on Growth and Usage

My bet for the next phase is not just to focus on monetization but to integrate Haushelden into more families. The social features I've implemented are designed to enable exactly that. Children can now play with friends outside their family, creating new interaction opportunities.

Whether this will be the growth driver I envision is still open. But these social elements offer potential for new, dynamic user behavior. Now it's time to closely observe these developments and analyze user reactions.

  • Expansion of social features: Play with users outside the family.
  • Observation of usage changes: Analysis of new interactions.
  • Focus on feedback: Continuous adjustment based on user reactions.
  • Long-term strategy: Building a strong, engaged community.

Another important aspect is the technology behind Haushelden. We work with Claude Code, a powerful tool that helps us develop and adapt the platform efficiently. By automating processes, we can quickly respond to new requirements and continuously improve the platform.

What Remains Open: The Uncertainty Remains Exciting

Of course, much remains open. The question of whether the higher prices will work is yet to be answered. Likewise, whether the new positioning is clear enough and whether the social features actually generate growth.

The challenge will be to maintain focus while other projects also demand attention. But that's exactly the appeal—finding out where Haushelden is headed when I give developments room to grow.

I've changed a lot, and now it's time to simply observe how things develop. What experiences have you had with price changes and user acceptance? Are social features in your application a growth driver or more of a nice extra?

Another point that will influence the future of Haushelden is the end of the summer holidays. With the return to normality, it will become clear how well the new features are received and whether they have the desired effect on user engagement. The coming weeks will be crucial for planning the next steps and further optimizing the platform.
